Joining Manchester UMC
Joining a new church is a thrilling experience. You're excited about all the new friends you'll make and the new programs and ministries you'll enjoy. You can't wait to find out more about yourself and deepen your relation with Christ. Plus, you might be a little nervous! That's why we try to make the joining process at Manchester UMC relaxed, welcoming, and rewarding.
You'll take a class that gets you up to speed with our church, programming, and beliefs. You will also have a chance to ask us questions.
In the summer, you and other new members will enjoy an ice cream social.
The next step after joining? Get involved! Check out our Foundation of Faith materials to see how you can plug into all the activities, missions, and ministries at Manchester UMC and strengthen your connection with God. You don't even have to be a member to join in most of the programming listed there, so your involvement makes a great way to get a feel for your new church home.

Here's our list of upcoming new member classes you can attend:
Sunday, January 24, 2:00-4:30 p.m. Room 141
Wednesday, January 27, 6:30-9 p.m. Room 141
Both classes will join on either Saturday, January 30, or Sunday, January 31
Sunday, April 11, 2-4:30 p.m. in the Library
Wednesday, April 14, 6:30-9:00 p.m. Room 141
Both classes will join on either Saturday, April 17, or Sunday, April 18
Saturday, July 24, 2-4:30 p.m. Room 141
Class joins that same day at 5 p.m in the Chapel
Followed by an Ice Cream Social on the lawn outside
Sunday, October 17, 2-4:30 p.m. Room 141
Wednesday, October 20, 6:30-9 p.m. Room 141
Both classes join on either Saturday, October 23, or Sunday, October 24
Childcare is available. Reservations are required one week in advance.
