Gifts in White – Every year for the past three decades, MUMC has brought forward the importance of giving to those less fortunate during the time of Advent leading up to Christmas. Numerous opportunities exist for you to give, serve and envelop yourself in the joys of giving. Gifts are distributed to the partner St. Louis United Methodist agencies.
Sneakers with Soul – Our mission is to put new shoes on the feet of area children in need, working toward a day when no child goes back to school without new shoes. The program takes place beginning in early July with a major shoe distribution event typically the first week in August just before the beginning of the school year. Volunteers are needed to collect, tag and sort shoes with many volunteer opportunities during the Distribution Event.
Collection Connection – Receives in-kind donations throughout the year for our UMC agencies. Year-round donations are also accepted for non-perishable food items, with donations going to Circle of Concern.
Fall Food Drive – Takes place over several weeks during the month of September to support the families served by Kingdom House. Beyond donating non-perishable food items, you have the opportunity to assist in the organization and transportation of donated food to Kingdom House.
Bridge Bread – Offers the opportunity to purchase fresh baked bread products in the narthex of MUMC to support the workers who are employed by this valuable life-changing ministry.
Computer Rehab – This ministry accepts used personal computer donations (PCs & Macs) then reconditions and restores the units. Donations of used computers are welcomed.
Bike Rehab – Accepts donated bicycles that will be rehabbed and then donated to children and adults.
