Christmas with a Difference Type

Everyone is welcome to join us as we celebrate Advent and Christmas in exciting new ways that honor the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. By attending, you'll gain a deeper connection with God this holiday season!

Christmas Tree Lot, Nov. 24-Dec. 23, 9 a.m.-9 p.m.

Located at 14374 Manchester Rd., we have been operational since 1964.

Sales from our tree lot support charities such as Epworth Children and Family Services, Kingdom House,  and Circle of Concern. Learn more.

 

The Christmas Heart of God, A Sermon Series by Pastor Greg Weeks

Sundays, Nov. 26- Dec. 17 at 8 & 11 a.m.

As we approach Christmas Eve, we become sensitive to basic facets of God’s heart that made the birth of His Son inevitable. Experiencing God as one who feels intensely and passionately for us will prepare us to receive, in even more awe, the gift of the Son.

 

Coventry Dinners and Concerts, Dec. 1 & 2; 6:30 p.m.

On Friday, enjoy an intimate evening with a catered dinner (beginning at 7 p.m.) and outstanding holiday music featuring the Coventry Choir and Vesper Bell Choir. Tickets: $32. On Saturday, enjoy the 'Sweet Sounds of Christmas' at this dessert-only event. Tickets: $10. Purchase tickets in the Narthex.

 

Hanging of the Greens, Dec. 2 & 3

Decorating God’s house as Advent begins. During Sunday School at 9:30 a.m., students will create Chrismons and watch a drama of the Nativity.

 

Advent Breakfasts, Wednesdays, Dec. 6-20, 6:30 a.m.

Meet in Fellowship Hall for great food, camaraderie, music, humor, and excellent speakers. We promise to have you back on the road by 7:30.

 

Night in Bethlehem RevA Night in Bethlehem – The Miracle of Jesus, Dec. 8, 5:30-8:30

Featuring a live nativity, an interactive village, and activities for children, this special evening is a fun way for your family to gain a deeper connection with the holiday season. Tickets on sale thru Dec. 6: $5 per child* (children under 1 free).

 

Gifts in White, Dec. 9 & 10

Procession of gifts at both the Saturday evening and Sunday morning services. No Sunday school – please enjoy the service and processional as a family.

 

Sing Christmas! Ring Christmas!, Dec. 17, 7 p.m.

Choir, organ, orchestra, and handbell choir present a concert of lessons and carols. Free event.

 

Blue Christmas, Dec. 21, 7 p.m. in the Chapel

A somber yet hopeful service for those not necessarily looking forward to Christmas.

 

Early Christmas Eve Service, Dec. 23, 3:45 & 5 p.m., Chapel

Candlelit services with communion.

 

Christmas Eve Services, Dec. 24, Sanctuary

Christmas Candlelight10:30 a.m. - Family Christmas Eve Service. Participatory worship led by the Children’s Ministry, Children’s Choirs, and Drama Ministry featuring “Chimes in the Night,” a musical by Tom Long & Allen Pote. No Sunday School. #
