MWF sessions: Get ready for tons of fun, loads of laughs and lots of learning, if you are in the MUMC COF Preschool 2 Program. We have many diverse, age and developmentally appropriate activities planned for our four and five year olds throughout the school year.  Through play, the children work on fine and gross motor skills, learn about the world around us, develop social skills, participate in music and are introduced to kindergarten readiness skills.  We work very hard to help the boys and girls gain self-confidence by using praise and positive reinforcement and also presenting a variety of activities that the children can find success in accomplishing.  The children also become more independent by learning how to take care of their own needs and belongings and making choices throughout the day.  The teachers stress the importance of sharing, taking turns, learning strategies for solving conflicts in appropriate ways and being thankful for all of the wonderful blessings that God has given us.  We believe that the fun -filled early childhood education that the boys and girls receive in the Preschool 2 Program will prepare them for their next school experience and also generate a love of learning.

TTH Extended sessions:  Tuesdays and Thursdays are "extra" special for our Preschool 2 "Extended Day" class!  We always have lots of time to play at learning centers in our room, while enjoying art and creative activities that include music/movement.  There's time for outdoor play each day or indoor in the "big room" if the weather doesn't cooperate.

But for us the extra time in our day truly adds to our learning and fun.  We might make a class book, try a science experiment, or play a circle game together!  Our Show and Tell themes vary through the school year and often relate to our family traditions/adventures.  Our day includes snack time as well as lunch together (everyone brings their own) this is a time for lots of laughter and conversation.  We welcome Parents to join us for fieldtrips, to read stories, and to share hobbies and careers.  We look forward to our "exceptional" time together in our MUMCOF Tues/Thur Extended class.
