Getting to Know Us

Manchester UMC is located in the West County area of St. Louis, Missouri. Established in 1798, MUMC is the largest and one of the oldest United Methodist churches in Missouri. The church has been at its present location since 1837.

The historic brick Chapel was built in 1856 and is still used for Saturday evening worship and special services. On the Sunday before Christmas, 1998, the congregation moved into a beautiful new 1200-seat sanctuary and new music and education space.

Whether you are a first time visitor or a long time member, we are glad you are visiting the Manchester United Methodist Church web site, our "front door" on the web. We hope that you find the information you need, and that you will visit us soon for worship on a Saturday night or a Sunday morning, or at our Wednesday Meals and Ministries program. If you have questions about Manchester UMC and its programs, please contact the church office at (636) 394-7506. We hope to see you soon!

The tall steeple on the new sanctuary is a visible symbol to all as they travel through our area, welcoming all to come seek, share, and serve Christ.
