CHILDREN'S CHOIRS:

MUMC Children's Choirs welcome all enrolled Kindergartners through 5th graders at any time during the choir year, which runs from September through April. Choirs are designed to provide both musical and spiritual growth in a fun, welcoming environment. Our choir members learn they have an important place in the ministry of the Church through their singing and various outreach activities. All Children's Choirs sing in worship approximately once a month. SonShine Singers (grades K & 1)

Wednesdays, 4:30pm-5:45pm (Meet in Rooms 133 & 118) 
Emphasis in our youngest choir is on heartfelt singing with exploration of beginning musical concepts and rhythm instruments. Children also discover the joy of giving to the Church through their singing, and of giving to those in need through outreach projects. Age groups are divided on Wednesdays for a portion of their time (as outlined below) but they sing together in worship.

Rehearsal Schedule:

4:30pm: Drop off children in Lower Fellowship Hall (Room 133) for attendance & snack time.
4:45pm: First graders to music (Room 118)-Kindergartens activity/ministry time (Room 133).
5:10pm: Kindergartners to music (Room 118)-1st graders activity/ministry time (Room 133).
5:30pm: Everyone together for closing activity in Lower Fellowship Hall (Room 133).
5:45pm: Pick up children in Lower Fellowship Hall (Room 133).

Carol Choir (grades 2 & 3)

Carol Choir provides heartfelt ministry, both in worship and around the world. Children learn beginning vocal techniques and are provided with enriching fellowship and service opportunities through various field trips, activities and outreach projects throughout the year.

Music Makers (grades 4 & 5)

Wednesdays, 4:30pm-5:45pm (Meet in Music Room)
Music Makers focus on developing effective communication as singers and partners in ministry, both in worship and their everyday lives. Singers can expect a fun, memorable and meaningful year of spiritual and musical growth interlaced with local and global outreach opportunities. Music Makers present a fully-staged musical each year.
